A Grey Camouflage Collection of accessories is coming for the PS5. For the PlayStation 5, Sony has unveiled a new lineup of personalised faceplates, a DualSense controller with a military theme, and the Pulse 3D wireless headset. The variation expands on the galaxy-inspired colorway possibilities that were introduced earlier this year but did not come with a headset. The controller and faceplates will launch internationally on October 14 when pre-orders for the PS5 Grey Camouflage Collection go live in India and other countries on September 15. Later in December, the PS5 wireless headset in camouflage will be available for purchase.
Both the Digital Edition and the larger PS5 model with a Blu-ray disc drive will be able to use the Grey Camouflage faceplates, according to Sony. The fundamental camouflage pattern has been "reimagined" by the PlayStation design team to reflect a more contemporary vibe. It now includes tiny ridges that are shaped like PlayStation insignia and give extra grip for extended gaming sessions. The customised faceplates operate similarly to earlier coverings that can be quickly changed and installed.
PS Direct members and consumers will have early access to the PS5 Grey Camouflage Collection for individuals who reside in the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Of course, this is before the collection goes on sale to the general public on the internet on October 14. Additionally, starting on October 28, Sony intends to make the customised PS5 accessories available through affiliated stores. However, the online storefront does not showcase an establishment established in India, advising interested customers to look at regional internet shops like Shopatsc.com.
While information on the impending PS5 Grey Camouflage Collection has not been updated on the website, customers wanting for a change of theme can choose the comic-inspired colour variations Sony unveiled last year. The PS5 DualSense controller is presently available for Rs. 5,990 in limited stock in the new Ice Blue, Cosmic Red, Purple, and Pink variations, according to the Sony Center website.
At launch, PS5 faceplates and covers were only available via Amazon India; it would be fascinating to see whether Sony adopts a different strategy with the Grey Camouflage Collection.
Sony has not provided pricing information for the PS5 Grey Camouflage Collection, but prior experiences indicate that customised controllers typically cost just Rs. 400 more than DualSense gamepads. The price of a Sony PS5 faceplate is Rs. 4,690 in India. As the launch date of October 14 draws nearer, further details about the same will be made public.
