The Galaxy S21 series of smartphones received public beta testing of One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 at the end of August, when it became available in Korea and the United Kingdom. You may now register your smartphone for the beta programme in India.

In India, you may currently only enrol your Galaxy S21, S21+, or S21 Ultra in the beta programme provided it was purchased unlocked. As always, you must have the Samsung Members app loaded in order to register. Then simply open it and look for the rather visible banner within that advertises the One UI Beta Program for One UI 5.

Then you just enter your information and wait for the results.Within the following few hours or days, the first beta build will be released as a software update. You will then receive following betas in the same manner, as well as the final version when it is published.

You can expect glitches and errors here and there because this is pre-release software, so if you can't live with that, you should avoid entering the beta programme. According to Samsung's release notes, Google Pay will not operate on the initial build - it's amusing to see that the firm hasn't kept up with Google's ever-changing naming practise - it's now called Google Wallet. In any case, it will not operate, and other features or apps may also fail.
