Because of the features that are being teased and are expected to be included in the smartphones, the Huawei Mate 50 series has received media attention. Variable aperture is one of them. Huawei teased it on social media and it's basically making a comeback after being taken out of a few smartphones released in the past. The news is released a few days before the launch of the Huawei Mate 50 series, which is rumoured to feature the Huawei Mate 50, Huawei Mate 50 Pro, and Huawei Mate 50 RS.

In a post on Weibo, Huawei hinted to the variable aperture function. A little video clip in the post indicates that the Huawei Mate 50 series would have a camera with a variable aperture. Smartphone cameras with variable apertures will provide its customers more control over taking pictures. In low light, a wide aperture produces crisp images by allowing more light to enter the lens.

An earlier rumour stated that a new function would enable customers to make calls and send messages even when the battery was dead. This capability would be included in the forthcoming Huawei smartphone lineup. The new functionality is rumoured to arrive pre-installed on the Huawei Mate 50 series, which is anticipated to include the Huawei Mate 50, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, and the Huawei Mate 50 RS. Additionally, the phones might have a capability that enables users to scan barcodes or papers even when the battery is dead.

The purported details of the Huawei Mate 50 series smartphones were previously leaked. They are rumoured to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC inside. According to reports, all three phones have 66W rapid charging and triple back cameras with 50-megapixel main sensors.

In a similar story, Slashleaks revealed the cost of the three Huawei Mate 50 series versions in a post. Two variations are known to exist for the standard Huawei Mate 50.
