Xbox has collaborated with HowLongToBeat to provide game completion predictions through its PC app. Microsoft included the function in its September update, advising users how long it will take to complete a game from their catalogue on average. The website/resource collects information from community members and creates an average number, making it easier for gamers with limited time to plan out their sessions. Along with other quality-of-life enhancements, the publisher has reduced startup times for the Xbox PC software by 15%.

The HowLongToBeat integration divides playtimes into four categories. The 'Main Story' comes first, focusing primarily on the key objectives, just enough to see the credits roll. The second count is the 'Main + Extras tally,' which includes certain side missions and exploration. Then there's the 'Completionist' option, which is suggested for people who want to unlock every achievement/medal the game has to offer – naturally, the most time-consuming. Finally, there's a 'Combined' estimate, which includes all of the previously described play types and generates an overall total.

Clicking the 'View Details' option on the Xbox PC software takes you to the HowLongToBeat website, where you may enter your own completion times. You may obtain guides, assist other gamers in the community, and compete for bragging rights by comparing times. Additional details, including as reviews, playtime notes, and platform data breakdowns, are also displayed.

Microsoft has also reduced load times on the Xbox PC software by 15%, as well as fixed stuttering while scrolling. "We've seen crash-free sessions increase to 99.9% and player reports of games that didn't download or install correctly cut in half," says Jason Beaumont, Partner Director of Product Management. The studio also mentions enhanced search results in the app and a restructured shop page. Instead of needing to scroll down, game trailers, images, and descriptions are now shown at the top, similar to the interfaces of Steam and Epic Games Store.

Xbox debuted its Game Pass Friends & Family subscription in Ireland and Colombia earlier this month. The subscription, as the name implies, allows users to share account perks with up to four persons in their gaming group. Members will simply need to have a Microsoft account and be from the same nation. There is currently no information about an India launch.
