Some Xiaomi smartphones, such as the Xiaomi 12 Pro and the Poco F4 GT, do support 120-watt wired fast charging, commonly known as Xiaomi HyperCharge 120W. In MIUI, this quick charging technology is not usually activated by default. I'll show you how to accomplish it.
Xiaomi's 120-watt rapid charging is presently only accessible on a handful of devices. However, I'm already finding it difficult to live without it. Charging your smartphone from 0 to 100% in 25 minutes or less is a tremendous advantage for the user.
However, in order to fully benefit from Xiaomi's exclusive technology, you must enable it using the battery utility accessible in MIUI 13:
Navigate to Settings, then to Battery.
Swipe left in the battery utility to reveal the Battery tab.
Choose Boost charging speed.
Slide the Boost charging speed slider to the right.
Obviously, you can only benefit from 120W rapid charging if your Xiaomi smartphone is compatible. You may also disable this option to save battery life, which is why Xiaomi included it in the first place.
The manufacturer notes under the battery utility settings that "MIUI prioritises charging speed while guaranteeing your device's safety. The faster your battery charges, the weaker it is. This function may cause your device to overheat."
That's most likely why you have an alert function to notify you when the 120-watt charging mode is activated and the charging pace improves.
That concludes our instruction on how to enable 120W fast charging on your Xiaomi smartphone. Were you aware of this MIUI trick? Are you going to enable or disable this option because you're afraid it'll damage your battery?
