We have the Honor Pad 8 with us for a quick hands-on and rundown of its main features, just after its IFA 2022 unveiling for the European market. Despite having the name "Pad 8," the tablet has a 12-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1200 x 2000 pixels and a 5:3 aspect ratio. Because of this, the Pad 8 is a fantastic tool for multitasking and multi-media usage. Given the odd aspect ratio, using the tablet in portrait mode does seem strange.

Our test unit is available in the Blue colorway, a deep tint that collects lots of fingerprints. On either side of the display are speakers, and a USB-C connection is provided for charging and data transmission. The power and volume controls are located on the top half. A 22.5W charger and USB-A to USB-C connection are included in the retail box. Additionally, Honor provides a keyboard accessory that is optional and should aid in productivity.

With its sleek aluminium construction, Pad 8 offers a high-end appearance and feel. Additionally, it weighs only 520 grammes and is only 6.9mm thick. On the basis of Android 12, Magic UI 6.1 handles the software interface. The quick toggle app drawer and floating windows are two cool multitasking features. Thedock can also hold up to four recently used apps. You can also mirror a compatible Honor smartphone on the tablet.
