FASTag charging has become a typical incident for car owners. Banks are developing unique and easy methods for incorporating user-friendly payment choices. IDFC FIRST Bank and WhatsApp have now partnered to making FASTag recharge on WhatsApp simple.


Notably, while the service has been established by IDFC FIRST bank, it will only be available to IDFC FIRST customers. The feature eliminates the need for users to close WhatsApp in order to recharge their FASTag. Users of the service will be able to recharge their phones using "payments on WhatsApp" without having to connect into another mobile app or a net banking website.

Steps To Recharge Your IDFC First FASTag Via WhatsApp

Step 1: IDFC FIRST Bank customers can get started by simply texting ‘Hi’ to the bank’s official WhatsApp chatbot number +919555555555.

Step 2: Select the recharge option in the WhatsApp chat.

Step 3: Now, you will have to enter the amount and provide an OTP for transaction authentication. A notification verifying the transaction will be sent to you.

Users will be able to pay for their recharges using "payments on WhatsApp" without having to sign into any other mobile app or Netbanking site. This will make the recharge procedure easier and speedier for the bank's millions of FASTag users.

Users may use the UPI to send and receive money from pals on WhatsApp by just sending a WhatsApp message. For each payment, they will need to enter a fresh UPI-PIN.

Users may also access over 25 services, including savings accounts, credit cards, loans, and FASTag, using IDFC FIRST Bank's WhatsApp banking channel.

So far, the bank has distributed nine million FASTags. Because to IDFC FIRST Bank, which has a 40% market share in the processing of monthly toll values, about 420 toll plazas and 20 parking lots accept FASTag payments. With a 45 percent market share, the Bank is also the largest parking grabber.
