Although Android 13 is no longer in beta, Google will soon release a new beta if you really missed having one available. So why not board the currently-moving Android 13 QPR1 Beta 1 train if you appreciate beta releases?
Let's take a moment to analyse that. The Android 13 Quarterly Platform Release (QPR)1 that we're discussing will be referred to as the December "feature drop" when it really releases in December. For those who want to sample "new platform features, bug fixes, performance optimizations, and the September 2022 security patches," the first beta of this Android 13 QPR1 is now available.
Unfortunately, the company hasn't provided a full changelog, so it's currently unknown whether any noteworthy new user-facing features have been added. The Pixel 4a, 5, 5a, 6, 6 Pro, and 6a are still supported, so if you have one of them, you can head over to the Android Beta Program page and sign up for this beta. The Android 13 QPR1 Beta 1 will then be delivered to you as a software update in the following 24 hours.
You will automatically receive the QPR1 Beta 1 and any upcoming betas if you were already signed up for the Android 13 beta and have not opted-out. If you don't want that, choose not to participate in the beta programme and don't install the update. to keep your user data on the phone. If you opt out of the program after you install Beta 1, you will have to wipe the data on the phone in order to go back to the stable Android 13 release.
The build number for this first beta is T1B1.220819.007 for the Pixel 6a, and T1B1.220819.006 for all other devices.
