The campaign co-op material for Halo Infinite has been postponed. 343 Industries disclosed a number of content delays for their most recent Halo instalment in a development update. The frequently desired campaign cooperative will now appear on November 8 instead of its original intended debut date of August. The Forge open beta, which was earlier planned to debut this month, will also be released at the same time as this update. The third season of Halo Infinite multiplayer DLC has also been postponed until March, and the intended split-screen co-op function has been completely scrapped.

A key feature of previous Halo games, the campaign co-op, was absent from Halo Infinite at launch. The update was slated for release later, while 343 Industries concentrated on fixing the game's minor bugs and multiplayer functionality. A public beta testing session for the campaign co-op was held in July, however it was missing crucial matchmaking components. It is advised for players who don't have any added friends to look for someone on their own because they won't be linked with randoms online.

The long-awaited Forge mode beta, which had been postponed by six months with a June release, also debuts with the Winter Update. Players could design, modify, and share their own maps, weapons, and other items with other players in the much-desired Forge mode. Although there aren't many specifics about the features yet, 343 staffer Tahir Hasandjekic claims that the Forge mode "is going to transform the game forever."

The Halo Infinite Winter Update brings two multiplayer maps, Detachment and Argyle, along with the aforementioned modes and a free 30-tier battle pass that offers a variety of cosmetics and XP booster items.

The third season's multiplayer event begins on March 7. The update, titled "Echoes Within," adds new arena and big team battle (12v12) maps, as well as the M392 bandit gun and a 100-tier battle pass that will cost money; no specific cost has been announced. The Shroud Screen, a brand-new piece of gear that serves as your squad's shield and is immovable and dome-shaped, is also made its debut in Halo Infinite season 3. The shield is fully opaque when viewed from the outside, which is novel in this case and encourages adversaries to take a more calculated approach.

The renowned split-screen co-op will no longer be included in Halo Infinite. The campaign co-op mode and the mission replay system were featured in an hour-long teaser trailer that 343 Industries unveiled back in July.

Halo Infinite is now available on Windows PCs, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Steam, and PC Game Pass.
