Consumers and smartphone OEMs are focusing their emphasis exclusively on the mid-range smartphone market. The integration of 5G chipsets with new-generation mid-range and premium mid-range products has accelerated the trend. The Nokia X30 5G and the Nokia G60 5G are the most recent additions to this series from HMD Global.
These two products, along with the Motorola Moto G71 5G, have already been compared. The Poco X4 Pro 5G, another well-liked mid-range phone with a 5G network and capable hardware features, has replaced the Moto G71 5G in this article. Let's examine which of these three Android phones is the most suitable for daily use:
Comparing the displays of the Poco X4 Pro 5G, Nokia G60, and Nokia X30 5G
The 6.43-inch premium AMOLED display of the Nokia X30 5G is of the highest quality. The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 1080 x 2400 FHD+ screen resolution. The panel has a screen-to-body ratio of 85% and a pixel density of 409 PPI. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus layer of protection, a peak brightness of 700 nits, and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
A 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with an 86 percent screen-to-body ratio is featured on the Poco X4 Pro 5G. The panel has a higher refresh rate of 120Hz and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels than the Nokia X30 5G. The Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Victus protection shields the Poco X4 Pro 5G's display from damage.
The lone device on this list with an IPS LCD display rather than an AMOLED or Super AMOLED panel is the Nokia G60. The display is 6.58 inches in size and has the same FHD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels as the other two variants.
The display features a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. The Poco X4 Pro 5G offers the finest screen of the three versions for both gaming and watching videos (FHD). The Nokia G60 is the last item on this list, followed by the Nokia X30.
Comparing the camera hardware of the Nokia X30 5G, Poco X4 Pro 5G, and the Nokia G60
A 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS capability is one of two rear cameras that make up the Nokia X30 5G's photography gear. The secondary sensor on the back is a 13MP ultrawide sensor with a 123-degree field of view and an f/2.4 aperture. Along with multiple shooting options, the camera setup also records videos in 1080p@30 and 1080p@60 frames per second.
Three back cameras are used as the primary cameras on the Poco X4 Pro 5G. An 8MP ultrawide angle sensor with a 118-degree field of view and a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture support the main camera's larger 64MP lens, which has PDAF and an f/1.8 aperture. For a better photography experience, the camera setup here also provides a variety of shooting modes, like HDR and others. However, this model's only supported video resolution is 1080p@30 frames per second.
The triple lens camera arrangement on the Nokia G60, which includes a 50MP primary sensor, puts it in direct competition with these two devices. A 5MP ultrawide angle sensor and a 2MP lens are added to the main camera. This device supports 1080p@30 fps video recording, the same as the Poco X4 Pro 5G.
Speaking of selfie cameras, the Poco X4 Pro 5G and the Nokia X30 5G both have 16MP cameras, while the Nokia G60 has an 8MP camera. In terms of cameras, the Poco X4 Pro 5G once more leads, followed by the Nokia X30 5G and the Nokia G60.
Poco X4 Pro 5G vs. Nokia G60 vs. Nokia X30 5G: Chipset, RAM, Storage
Nokia powered both the X30 5G and the G60 with the same Snapdragon 695 processor. This Qualcomm octa-core 5G chipset is built using a 6nm production technique. The Snapdragon 695 chipset is also included in Poco's X4 Pro 5G. The three phones on this list all offer the same power delivery and performance features.
All of the graphics are rendered using the Adreno 619 GPU, which is supported by the octa-core 5G mid-range chipset. The Nokia X30 5G and the Nokia G60 come with the Android 12 OS pre-installed, however the Poco X4 Pro 5G comes with the out-of-date Android 11 OS.
In terms of options, the Nokia X30 5G is available with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Notably, this phone lacks compatibility for external microSD cards. The X4 Pro 5G from Poco comes with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Nokia G60 offers 64GB/128GB of storage and 4GB/6GB of RAM.
Battery Specifications for the Poco X4 Pro 5G, Nokia G60, and Nokia X30 5G.
A 4,200 mAh battery with 33W rapid charging capabilities powers the Nokia X30 5G. The Nokia G60 sports a 4,500 mAh battery with 20W fast charging technology, compared to Poco's larger 5,000 mAh battery unit that supports 67W fast charging. In terms of battery life and faster charging times, the Poco X4 Pro 5G is the best option. Overall, the Poco X4 Pro 5G outperforms the other two in terms of camera and display.
