On Monday, Sony is hosting a gaming event, and we might or might not see a brand-new smartphone there. However, reports indicate that a further launch, the second-generation, photography-focused Xperia Pro-I, will take place in November.

The three cameras on the phone will all have new and upgraded sensors, and all three will have a resolution of 48MP, the rumour claims. Plus, one of them will feature a variable aperture that ranges from f/1.2 to f/4.0.

The three cameras will naturally shoot at 12MP resolution because they have 48MP resolution with pixel binning. The source claims that the ultrawide shooter will use a 1/1.3" IMX803 imager while the main camera will have a 1" IMX903 sensor.

A new iteration of the 1/1.7" IMX557, which we previously saw in the Xperia 1 II and Xperia 5 IV, will serve as the telephoto sensor. However, the successor is switching to a Quad-Bayer system while the previous two featured native 12MP resolution.

When the rumoured Xperia Pro-I Mark II becomes public, we should also anticipate the arrival of a new Internet service provider. The timeframe provided by the report is realistic given that the Pro-I arrived in late October of the previous year.
