The Huawei Mate 50 series, which is entering its tenth generation, will launch a number of new features to the family the following week. What surprises is Huawei bringing us? In an interview, CEO Richard Yu hinted to three key elements.
The XMAGE imaging system, which will be unique to the Mate 50 series, comes first. Despite the fact that Huawei no longer has access to Leica's expertise, it is the product of years of experience producing some of the greatest camera phones available. According to rumours, the XMAGE system does not rely on the Snapdragon ISP, but rather a bespoke NPU created by HiSilicon.
Next is a technology that would allegedly "pierce the heavens upward"; it's assumed that thiswill be satellite communication that can be used for emergency text services (something that Apple is rumored to include with the upcoming iPhone 14 series).
On September 6 during its Autumn Product Launch Conference, Huawei will introduce the new Mate 50 series (Tuesday, which also happens to be the day before the iPhone 14 reveal).
