On September 7, the Apple iPhone 14 series was announced. Only a few days have passed since the release of the iPhone 14 series, but the rumour mill has already begun leaking some information regarding the iPhone of the next year. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will make the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro versions more distinct from one another. Four different models are presently available from the company: the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus offer incremental improvements over the iPhone 13 series, while the Pro models share the most advanced hardware.

The analyst predicted that Apple would widen the difference between the Pro and non-Pro iPhone models for the next year. The iPhone 15 Pro Max might mark the beginning of Apple's exclusive feature offerings. According to Kuo, the corporation will probably do this by using a precise product segmentation approach to increase sales and profitability in a crowded industry. Additionally, Apple aims to boost the proportion of Pro versions that are shipped, which will raise the average selling price (ASP) of the iPhone.

Apple presently offers a 120Hz Promotion display with a pill-shaped notch for the Face ID sensors and the front camera on the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The A16 Bionic SoC and a significantly brighter display are also included in the Pro variants. In addition, a brand-new camera system with a 48MP main camera is available. Currently, both Pro iPhone models have the identical hardware with the exception of the larger display and battery on the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

On the other hand, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus have a typical 60Hz OLED display with a large notch at the top. From the iPhone 13 Pro lineup, they receive the A15 Bionic chip with a five-core GPU. A 12MP dual-camera system with a bigger primary camera sensor is also available from Apple.
