It's almost time for Qualcomm's next flagship SoC to be introduced, thus rumours will start to circulate more regularly. The most recent one comes from the famed Weibo tipster, Digital Chat Station, and it claims that Qualcomm may release two distinct versions of the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The regular one will be business as usual, but there will also be a high frequency iteration, which should dramatically increase clock speeds. Currently, the Prime core of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 operates at 3.19 GHz, while the high-frequency variant will give at least 3.4-3.5 GHz.
