You can easily distinguish callers and certain incoming notifications on your iPhone by creating your own vibrating patterns. Tap the screen of your smartphone like a musical instrument to get lost in funky rhythms. I'll show you how it's done in today's coffee break!
Apple's operating systems, iOS and iPadOS, provide several options for recognising callers and receiving notifications. Of course, letting each contact have their own ringtone and unique caller image is nothing new. If, like me, you haven't even pressed the mute option on your iPhone after unpacking it, here's another tip that could interest you.
In the iPhone settings, you can also choose different vibrating patterns. There is already a pre-selection of seven patterns available, as well as synchronisation with your ringtone. You may make your own vibration patterns by following the steps below.

Go to settings and then pick "Sounds and Haptics." You may then choose which ringtone you want to modify. At the top, there is a "Vibration" option that you must pick. You will now see "Create New Vibration" further down, where you may enter in the name of the new vibration.

The idea is that whenever you tap on the screen, your phone vibrates. The vibrations are saved for eight seconds before being replayed at the chosen ringtone. You'll easily find the correct pattern with a little practise.
Navigate to the Settings menu.

Make a new vibration using the editor - remember that you may override unsuccessful efforts with Record again.
You've just designed your own vibration pattern! Another tip: In your contact list, you may pick callers and make unique ringtones by clicking "Edit." This will take you to the same menu as seen before, where you may customise a vibration pattern for each contact on your iPhone.
