Act quickly if you're hoping to purchase an iPhone SE in the UK because Apple has just discreetly raised the cost of its entry-level smartphone.
Using the WayBackMachine, an internet repository that saves screenshots of webpages, we can see that this was the price as recently as August 26 when the iPhone SE (2022) released in the UK (opens in new tab).
However, as we discovered while perusing the official Apple store page(opens in new tab), the price of the iPhone SE (2022) has increased from £399 to £449, a difference of £30.
Fortunately, it doesn't appear that this change has yet had an impact on the iPhone SE in the US or Australia, where it's still being sold for its original $419 / AU$719 price. However, if you've been debating whether or not to buy the less expensive iPhone, you might want to act sooner rather than later.
You still have time to purchase the iPhone SE at its original pricing if you live in the UK. As of this writing, third-party retailers like John Lewis and Currys are selling the phone for £419, but it's impossible to predict when this will change.

Many of us would have anticipated a price decrease for Apple's older iPhone models rather than an increase, given the recent announcement of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. That is the situation for the iPhone 13; the iPhone 14 will be on sale for the same price as the older model, while the iPhone 13 will be slightly cheaper at $699, £749, or AU$1,229 when it launches.
However, while preorders for the iPhone 14 cost the same in the US as those for the iPhone 13, they are more expensive in the UK, retailing for £849 as opposed to £779.
Given the recent release of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, many of us would have anticipated a price cut for Apple's earlier iPhone models rather than an increase. This is the case with the iPhone 13; when it comes, the iPhone 13 will cost $699, £749, or AU$1,229, while the iPhone 14 will be available for the same price as the previous model.
Although the price of the iPhone 14's preorders in the US is the same as that of the iPhone 13's, it is more expensive in the UK, where it costs £849 as opposed to £779.
