According to a rumour, the Samsung Galaxy S25 might be the South Korean company's first smartphone without physical buttons. The button-less device, though, is reported to be unique to a wireless provider in the nation. Several previous stories have hinted at the emergence of smartphones with no physical buttons. Vivo was the first business to reveal a smartphone with no connectors or buttons, dubbed the Apex 2019 concept phone.

According to SamMobile, Samsung may eliminate all physical buttons from future flagship phones, including the power button and volume rocker. This upgrade is expected to take place in a few years, with the Galaxy S23 series sporting these buttons. It was suggested that the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S25 series might include a variant without tactile buttons. That particular model, however, may not be accessible to everyone.

According to the rumor, a Samsung Galaxy S25 series handset with no physical buttons may be unique to KT Corporation, a South Korean telecom carrier. Other variants may have the buttons found on modern smartphones. According to the source, the KT-exclusive edition may also receive additional software functions to compensate for the lack of physical buttons.

This is not the first time a claim about a smartphone lacking a physical button has circulated on the internet. In fact, Vivo released a prototype smartphone a few years back that had no buttons or ports. The prototype phone, dubbed Vivo Apex 2019, was introduced in January 2019 and included no ports, physical buttons, or selfie camera. For fast actions, it depended on pressure and gestures. Touch Sense is a technology developed by Vivo that combines capacitive touch with pressure detection.

The handset charged through magnetic pins on the rear known as MagPort, which also facilitated data transfer. Similarly, the Meizu Zero debuted at the same time as the Vivo Apex 2019. Meizu Zero, a smartphone with no buttons or connectors, was also introduced.
