The iPhone 14 is likely to be unveiled by Apple soon; the company's next event is scheduled for September 7; at that time, it will almost surely be one of the biggest days in the tech calendar.
Along with that device, we anticipate the arrival of the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. More than just iPhones are probably going to be on display, as the Apple Watch 8 and the Apple Watch 8 Rugged Edition are also anticipated. What about iPads, though?
Apple's upcoming event, which is slated for September 7, is most likely when the iPhone 14 will be announced; it will undoubtedly be one of the biggest days in the tech calendar.
We predict the launch of the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Pro Max in addition to that device. There will likely be more than just iPhones on display, as the Apple Watch 8 and the Apple Watch 8 Rugged Edition will also likely be showcased. But what about iPads?
Why the release of the iPhone 14 probably won't include a new iPad Pro
The new iPad Pro isn't expected to arrive in time for the iPhone 14, with an October release seeming more plausible, despite the fact that many sources have said that it will arrive in 2022. This series of slates doesn't typically get new entries at iPhone debuts.
Among other leakers, reliable leaker Mark Gurman mentions October as the month in question, and it's usually wise to pay attention to him. He also stated this in late August, which is close enough to the anticipated release dates of Apple's numerous future devices to suggest that the dates are now likely set and unlikely to alter.
That's not the only indicator, either, as Apple just recently disclosed that iPadOS 16 won't go on sale until until iOS 16. Although it hasn't been confirmed, we highly anticipate iOS 16 will debut at the same time as or shortly after the iPhone 14; hence, iPadOS 16 won't be available until the iPhone 14 has been released.

Apple would presumably want to introduce new tablet hardware along with this software, so it stands to reason that the iPad Pro 2022 won't be released until after the iPhone 14.
There are a couple acceptable jumps and assumptions there that are based on information directly provided by Apple.
According to Apple, "fall" refers to the months of September through November, so an October launch would definitely work for that. As a result, October is now our best bet for when iPadOS 16 will be released.
However, there's a chance we'll have to wait much longer because back in March, a leaker indicated there might not even be an updated iPad Pro in 2022. However, given the age of the leak and the fact that this allegation hasn't been made elsewhere, we have our doubts about its veracity.
The argument for a new iPad Pro at the release of the iPhone 14
Although it seems unlikely, a new iPad Pro could release at the same time as the iPhone 14. In some respects, it might make sense to introduce new slates at the same event as the phones, especially if a subsequent event is the only other option.
Additionally, reputable leaker Evan Blass recently asserted that the upcoming iPad Pro would be unveiled at the iPhone 14 event. We're not quite sure, though, given he is the only recent source pointing in that route and also implied there might be an iPhone 14 small, which is highly improbable.
Therefore, even while we can't count it out, we'd be a bit surprised if the iPad Pro 2022 were to debut on September 7. However, if you can't wait any longer, there are a tonne of additional choices in our guide to the best iPads.
