The Galaxy S22 series, which consists of the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra, is currently receiving a brand-new Android 12 upgrade from Samsung. A few new functions and other enhancements are included in the most recent version for the camera. Samsung has upgraded the QR scanner and added a zoom lens to the back hyperlapse mode for better navigation. Let's examine every aspect in further depth.

Recently, Samsung revealed via a community post that the Galaxy S22 series will receive the most recent Android 12 update (Via GSMarena). Telephoto camera compatibility for the hyperlapse mode will be added in the forthcoming version, according to the business.

The Galaxy S22 series of devices currently enables recording with wide-angle and ultrawide cameras in hyperlapse mode, but the upcoming upgrade will enable an additional 3X zoom option. In addition, Samsung confirmed it is working on a new feature called Astro Hyperlapse, that will allow users to click super-artistic photos of the night sky.

Additionally, the business enhanced the camera's ability to scan QR codes. In case the app is unable to identify the QR code on its own, the QR scanner will now have a larger scanning area and provide a tap-to-scan option. A issue in the Camera app's QR code scanner that prohibited users from scanning a QR code if the Camera app identified a document is also fixed by this release.

The update also enhances colour reproduction and HDR Performance. In Photo, Video, and Night modes, it also enhances Memory Usage and AI Performance.

The upgrade from Samsung has already begun to roll out in South Korea, and it is anticipated to do the same in other areas very shortly. The business has not yet provided a timeframe for a larger timeline, though.
