Wuling, a Chinese EV brand, is ramping up its game by going international. The result of a collaboration between SGMW and General Motors is the firm. It recently made its maiden international debut with the Air EV in Indonesia.
Wuling has been more well-known in the Chinese EV market during the past five years. Since 2017, it has sold more than 1 million of its EVs in China. Later this year, the business also intends to deliver the Air EV in countries including Egypt and India. Wuling intends to continue growing by entering new international markets.
Wuling demonstrated its success in China, which is now expanding to other nations, at the Air EV's Indonesian debut. . The Air EV was also endorsed as the official car of the G20 Summit. The Wuling Air EV is a 2-door electric vehicle designed primarily for city driving. It is being showcased for its easy operability and low upfront cost. It has a single 40HP electric motor and a range of 186 miles. The Air EV has had a very successful run in China. Wuling says it offers a superior-quality travel experience and reflects Wuling’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
There are currently no hints as to when Indonesian customers will receive the Air EV for the first time. It is also anticipated that the Air EV's global price will vary from its China price.
