Sending messages to oneself from a linked device is one of the multi-lacking device's features. In reality, some individuals were accustomed to communicating with themselves by initiating the conversation with their own phone number for a variety of purposes, such as to save anything significant. Due to the fact that the chat with their own phone number only appears on the primary device while using multiple devices, this is no longer viable, but WhatsApp is finally working on a solution to release in a later update of WhatsApp Desktop beta:
In the future, you will be able to message yourself by tapping your personal chat when you are looking for contacts in WhatsApp Desktop beta, as you can see in this screenshot. When the feature is made available to the public in the future, take note that this chat will also appear when you attempt to log into WhatsApp from a different mobile device. As usual, WhatsApp promises to add the same feature to the WhatsApp beta versions for Android and iOS even if the screenshot was obtained from the WhatsApp Desktop beta.
The ability to clear or delete chats on linked devices if the primary device is an iPhone, the ability to view live location on linked devices, and the option to create and view broadcast lists on linked devices are all features that the current multi-device version lacks. More features like these should be supported in the future.
Unfortunately, this feature is still in development and won't be available until a later update of the software. We'll let you know as soon as there's any fresh information.
