 The latest version of WhatsApp, 22.18.0.73, was just submitted through the TestFlight beta programme. The TestFlight build is 22.18.0, and the version listed in WhatsApp Settings is 2.22.18.73. (392909385).

What has been added in this update? Some lucky beta testers will soon see a new heading in the list of your stored talks from WhatsApp!

The new archive, an improved version of the function that allows users to preserve their stored chats in the archive even when fresh messages arrive, was published by WhatsApp last year. Although this feature may also be turned off directly in WhatsApp Settings > Chats, the company wants to draw attention to it because it's possible that some users are still unaware of this setting. In fact, WhatsApp has added the following header to the list of your archived chats as a new shortcut to archive settings:

This screenshot demonstrates how a new header within your archived chats appears. The header provides details about the current configuration of your archive, and reading the text within it can help you understand how your archive functions. You can choose whether you wish to change how your archived chats are maintained from the app by tapping the archive heading, which will lead you to your archive options (which have been available since last year).

As we previously stated, the new archived chat header is now going out to iOS beta testers as well as those beta users who have installed the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.19.6. As always, if your WhatsApp account isn't ready and the new archived conversation header doesn't appear, you'll need to wait until the following updates to obtain it.
