WhatsApp beta is listed as a suitable upgrade for iOS 22.18.0.70.
Despite installing the upgrade, I am missing this feature. Why? Please wait for a future update as this feature has only been made accessible to a select group of beta testers.

What's new in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.18.18? WhatsApp is aiming to provide group administrators access to pending participants!
The ability to check status updates within the conversation list is a new feature that select WhatsApp beta testers have access to, as we reported in a previous piece. Although the functionality has been in the works for iOS as well and was previously mentioned in the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.10.0.72 changelog, there is finally official word on the newest iOS beta build today:

This screenshot demonstrates how fresh status updates from your contacts are now constantly accessible within the chat list.
If you don't like this feature, you may mute status updates from the status tab so they won't appear in your chat list any more, as we discussed in the post about WhatsApp beta for Android.
Let's assume that your account does not have access to the feature. If so, there is no need to worry because there is nothing wrong with your WhatsApp installation; however, it might take some time until all other accounts receive the function since it has only been pushed out to a select group of lucky beta testers. Please wait for a future update if you don't already have the functionality because more activations will be happening over the next few weeks.
Make sure to update to the most recent beta version on TestFlight since this functionality has just been made accessible to certain beta testers!
