WhatsApp is currently pushing out a new update to beta testers following the release of the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.19.10 update, which adds the ability to change the app language directly within WhatsApp Settings.
A few weeks ago, WhatsApp published a fresh update to beta users that fixed a problem with GIF search: the incorrect layout made it nearly difficult to find a GIF:

This screenshot demonstrates how the GIF keyboard's layout is utterly incorrect because it appears with an unexpectedly incorrect height. By opening the conversation sharing sheet, this may be temporarily rectified, but it wasn't a permanent fix. Fortunately, WhatsApp has released a bug patch update that fixes the problem, so the GIF keyboard's layout is now consistently accurate.
Please make sure to upgrade your WhatsApp beta to the most recent version that is available on the Play Store if you were encountering this bug so you may once again simply search for GIFs. Be aware that users of the prior beta release may also receive the same bug fix.
