Some iPhone customers may be wondering whether a foldable iPhone will ever be released after Samsung unveiled its fourth-generation foldable phone, the Galaxy Fold 4, last week.

Apple is certainly developing a foldable iPhone, although information about it is still limited. What features would you like to see in a foldable iPhone? We've compiled a few prominent rumours below. Comment below and let us know!

hardware attributes

In order to create a particular display glass for the foldable iPhone that is both sturdy and durable as well as thin and flexible, Apple is probably closely collaborating with Corning.

The size of the foldable iPhone has been the subject of conflicting rumours; some claim it would be roughly 9 inches in size and feature a PPI (pixels per inch) between that of an iPhone and an iPad. According to other rumours, Apple has internally tested a smartphone that expands to 6.7 inches, around the same size as the Pro Max iPhones already in use.

According to a research firm, the foldable iPhone might work with the Apple Pencil and make use of its larger display to facilitate note-taking, sketching, and other activities on the device.

A rumour from Apple leaker Jon Prosser claims that Apple is developing a foldable gadget with two distinct screens connected by a hinge as opposed to the standard folding phones now on the market.

OS and software

Whether Apple will eventually integrate the iPhone and iPad into a single product that offers an iPhone experience when folded and an iPad-like experience when unfolded is still up in the air. In that situation, it's possible that the foldable gadget may run a mix of iOS and iPadOS, but that is just hypothetical.

Cost and Release Date

Although it's too soon to say which market Apple would wish to target with its foldable tablet, Samsung's pricing does provide some perspective. The Galaxy Fold 4 starts at a high $1,800.

There are still several years to go before we may see anything on the market, according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who now believes that a foldable iPhone won't be available until at least 2025 or later.
