The OPPO Watch 3 series, the company's newest range of wearables, will be unveiled later this month. The OPPO Watch 2, which was released last year, will be replaced by the smartwatch, as its name suggests.
In advance of the official launch, the company has now unveiled a teaser poster for the OPPO Watch 3 series, indicating the chipset that will power the upcoming smartwatches.
The teaser poster confirms that the OPPO Watch 3 series would be powered by the recently released Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 wearable technology. It is the first smartwatch to utilise this new chipset as a result.
Qualcomm introduced its brand-new 4nm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and W5+ Gen 1 CPUs earlier this week. The chips provide twice as much power while using half as much power as their predecessor. They were created primarily for wearable devices.
A release date for the new OPPO smartwatches has not yet been announced, and little is known about their specs. However, we expect finding out more in the coming days as a result of leaks and teasers.
The three variants of the OPPO Watch 3 series, which will reportedly have a high screen-to-body ratio, will feature eSIM functionality. It will run on the ColorOS Watch operating system.
Along with OPPO, TicWatch has confirmed that its forthcoming premium smartwatch models would be powered by the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset. The TicWatch 4 Pro, the first gadget equipped with a W5+ CPU, is slated to be on sale soon.
