OnePlus had planned a launch event for today, or August 3, to introduce its latest smartphone, which would be known as the OnePlus 10T for markets outside of China.
The company has since announced on Weibo that the launch event has been postponed and that all associated activities have also been cancelled. The reason for delaying the launch event has not yet been made public by OnePlus.
A subsequent announcement from OnePlus is imminent and should provide additional details. It is currently unknown whether the OnePlus 10T launch for international markets has also been postponed or whether solely the Chinese launch event has been cancelled.
It's interesting to note that Motorola likewise postponed its launch event yesterday without giving a reason. The Moto Razr 2022 foldable smartphone and the upcoming Moto X30 Pro were set to be announced at the launch event.
The phone will include a 6.7-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 720Hz touch sampling rate, according to OnePlus. It will be equipped with HDR10+ compatibility and have a 1.07 billion colour gamut.
A 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera will all be present in the photography area. Additionally, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera will be present.
The tablet will be powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The 4,800mAh battery can handle 150W fast charging, and it has an eight-channel vapour chamber.
