Apple unveiled the next iterations of its operating systems for a variety of devices a few months ago, including iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, tvOS 16, and watchOS 9.

When it formally introduces the new iPhone 14 series next month, the firm is anticipated to release the stable versions of the new operating systems. But the iPadOS 16 won't be available the following month.

According to Apple, the public distribution of the iPadOS 16 will wait until after the rollout of the iOS 16 to smartphone customers. The business stated: "We have the flexibility to launch iPadOS on its own schedule" in a statement to TechCrunch. After iOS, iPadOS will release version 16.1 this Fall as a free software update.

The Cupertino-based tech company has so far released iOS and iPadOS simultaneously, but since the iPadOS software was separated from iOS a few years ago, there has always been a chance that Apple will alter the release timetable.

The announcement of the new iPad OS's delayed distribution comes amid rumours that this will happen as the business isexpected to host a separate product launch event for the new entry-level iPad as well as the iPad Pro in October. Typically, Apple announces the new iPad models along with the iPhone models in September.

There are also concerns about some of the new features of the iPadOS that were announced when the software was unveiled. Many users have complained about some of the new features, including the Stage Manager for multitasking, urging Apple to delay the stable version rollout until it’s fixed.
