 Nothing Phone (1) received a lot of attention before it was released due to its transparent back panel and LED Glyph user interface. An extensive deconstruction of the Nothing Phone (1) was recently performed by well-known YouTuber JerryRigEverything. It disclosed the Glyph interface of the device's secrets. The YouTuber also posted the most recent video, which displays the entire number of LED lights.

The internal components of the Nothing Phone (1) are exposed during disassembly. Each solitary LED light in the Glyph grid is a tiny individual light (more on this later). One complete assembly of the Nothing Phone (1) is devoted to the aesthetics of the product. The smartphone has a glass back panel, and when it is removed, many pieces of plastic are found that are only held together by glue and lack any screws. The larger plastic portions are secured to the base by ten silver screws, the YouTuber continues. High-precision sticky tape is used to adhere the diffuser strips to the Glyph LEDs, covering off the yellowish tinge. The LEDs emit a Blueish hue instead of the usual White colour when lighted if the sticker is removed.

The Nothing Phone (1) is just another Android phone below all the plastic parts. Under the thick layer of plastic, there is a wireless charging coil in the centre of it. According to the YouTuber, replacing specific parts like LED bulbs, buttons, ports, and batteries would require first removing the glue from the rear panel and then disassembling the Glyph interface.


JerryRigEverything recorded another video yesterday in which he counted all the LED lights on the rear panel. Nothing asserts that the Glyph interface consumed more than 900 lights. Additionally, the count came out to be close. The YouTuber discovered that the strip has LEDs on both sides after counting a total of 468 of them. Thus, increasing the number brought the actual number of LEDs present on the phone to 972.
