Xiaomi unveiled its 12S series of smartphones in China last month. At this launch event, the company also unveiled the long-rumored Xiaomi 12 Ultra under the name Xiaomi 12S Ultra. This device, however, will only be available in China and won't be available to users worldwide.
Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, has now assured customers worldwide that the next Ultra smartphone will be sold everywhere.
It's unclear if Lei Jun was referring to a different model of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra or its future replacement. Given that the Xiaomi 13 series is expected to debut towards the tail end of Q4 2022, it's possible that we'll see a Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone shortly.
