The Xperia 5 IV was not released earlier this year alongside the Xperia 1 IV as was previously anticipated by Sony. Let's take a closer look at its potential specifications, cost, and other details because the business has only lately hinted at the release of its future tiny flagship grade smartphone.
Display and Design
The Xperia 5 IV from the Japanese tech giant will be a high-end, tiny phone, based on what we currently know. Although nothing is known about its design, the compactness probably means that the chassis and display will be overall smaller. However, we can anticipate that it will look a lot like its bigger sibling, the Xperia 1 IV. Consequently, it will probably feature a matte appearance and a flat back panel. surrounded by metallic frame on the sides. This is also in line with the brand’s teaser that said “Be Creative. Go Compact.”
The Xperia 5 IV, on the other hand, will reportedly have a smaller screen that will reportedly measure around 153.5mm diagonally, which is approximately about 6 inch, as opposed to the 6.5 inch display panel of the Xperia 1 IV. Given that it is a flagship model, the display is probably an OLED panel with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. A USB Type C port for charging and data transfer as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack could be included in the design.
Specifications
There isn't a lot of information currently accessible on the specifics of the internal hardware of the Sony Xperia 5 IV. However, based on prior rumours, the flagship model will probably be powered by Qualcomm's most cutting-edge Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. However, there is a potential thatthe brand decides to ship the upcoming model with the older Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor as well.
This will probably be coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage like the Xperia 1 IV. Other features include, a triple camera setup, a dual stereo speaker, IP68 water and dust resistance, wireless charging support, and more.
Camera
The Xperia 5 IV's cameras are still a mystery, much like its specifications. Recently released teasers simply mentioned the ability to "capture beautiful photos." On the back of the Xperia 1 IV was a triple camera module with three 12 megapixel sensors. This contained an 85 to 125mm f/2.3 to f/2.8 telephoto zoom lens, a 16mm f/2.2 ultra wide angle lens, and a 24mm f/1.7 primary camera with a 1/1.7 inch sensor. The front, meanwhile, had a 12 megapixel selfie camera. There is therefore a probability that Sony will introduce the new smartphone with identical, if not comparable, camera specifications.
