Recently, Sony revealed that it would be raising the cost of its PlayStation 5 gaming console. Only a few markets will be impacted by these price increases, which are not universal. Let's have a look, then.

The global price increases were formally revealed by the Japanese technology behemoth. As a result, the PS5 will now cost more in Europe, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Australia, Canada, and Mexico. The firm claimed that bad currency trends and high worldwide inflation rates, which have been impacting various industries as well as customers, are the primary causes of the price increase. Thankfully, prices have not increased in other places, like India. It's interesting to note that the PS5's increased price comes after Microsoft.had also raised the prices for its Xbox Series X and S series of consoles, along with their controller and headset prices as well.

President and CEO Jim Ryan of Sony Interactive Entertainment claims High global inflation rates and unfavourable currency trends are having an effect on consumers and placing pressure on a number of industries. SIE has made the tough choice to raise the recommended retail price (RRP) of the PlayStation 5 in a number of territories in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LATAM), and Canada as a result of current severe economic circumstances. In the US, there won't be any price increases.
