The launch date for Huawei's upcoming Mate 50 series flagship smartphones has now been officially confirmed by the company. Huawei is getting ready to introduce these devices in its native China.

The business has announced that it will hold a launch event on September 6 to officially introduce the brand-new Huawei Mate 50 series smartphones to the Chinese market.

Although Huawei announced the launch date, the business has not yet shared the major attributes and technical details of the phones. But we know what to anticipate because of several leaks and certifications. The Mate 50, Mate 50e, Mate 50 Pro, and Mate 50 RS Edition are the expected four variants in the series.

With only 4G LTE available for connectivity, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC will power the Huawei Mate 50. The company's own Kirin 9000S chipset will power the other versions in the series, including the Pro variant. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC is anticipated to be used in the Huawei Mate 50e variant.

Although the firm has not yet made the Huawei Kirin 9000S CPU official, it is anticipated tobe a tweaked version of the Kirin 9000 SoC that has now become the last flagship chipset from the company because of the US-imposed sanctions.

The phones are rumored to feature an OLED display sourced from BOE, offering a refresh rate of 90Hz on the base model and 120Hz on the high-end models. Similar to other smartphones from Huawei, the upcoming lineup will also come running the company’s own HarmonyOS 3.0, which is called HongMeng OS in China.
