The hit sitcom "Ted Lasso" won Best Comedy at the recent Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards, and "Severance" won Best Drama. Apple TV+ also won several other awards.
The drama with the most wins that night was "Severance," which had 12 nominations overall. Britt Lower won Best Actress, John Turturro won Best Supporting Actor, Dan Erickson won Best Writing, and Ben Stiller won Best Direction.
With 20 nominations, "Ted Lasso" received the most nominations for a comedy series for the second year in a running. Brett Goldstein, who plays Ted, also won the only back-to-back HCA TV Award for Best Supporting Actor.
In total, the two episodes brought Apple TV+ seven HCA TV Awards victories, which was more than any other streaming service, thanks to its record-breaking 53 Hollywood Critics Association nominations across a variety of genres received last month.
