Despite having extremely similar looks to its predecessors from the previous year, Samsung's foldable smartphones this year have a lot of improvements and slightly different screens. And the company is attempting to persuade us that foldables aren't simply futuristic technology; they already exist. With the new repair expenses, they also have a strong argument.
The fragile, bending display that is exceedingly expensive to fix is one of the main issues that users have. For a screen repair on a Galaxy Z Fold3 or Flip3 from last year, you would pay $249. And that is with Samsung's Care+ subscription service; without it, the cost would be close to what a used phone would cost.
Even if you are on the lowest Samsung Care+ tier, which costs $11 per month, the business is dramatically reducing the price this year, and it is now only $29 instead. If you want some piece of mind and are concerned about the longevity of the most recent foldables, that's a fairly excellent offer.
