Review of Motorola Moto G62 forthcoming

Thanks to the affordable Snapdragon 480+ CPU, the Motorola Moto G62 is one of the few smartphones under $200 that supports 5G connectivity.

Although it seems strange at first that the Snapdragon 680 drives the ostensibly inferior Moto G52, the Snapdragon 480+ is actually a faster chip and the only one with a 5G modem. Therefore, Qualcomm's naming strategy is primarily to fault.

For a more immersive multimedia experience, the device has stereo speakers and a 6.5-inch, 120Hz IPS LCD screen. There is only the 4GB/128GB memory option available. The hybrid microSD card slot allows for storage expansion.

The camera set-up is highly recognisable because it was also utilised with the G52. Our main camera has a 50MP 1/2.76" sensor with 0.64 m pixels behind an f/1.8 lens, as well as 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro sensors. The selfie camera features a 16MP sensor and an f/2.2 aperture, and it is positioned inside the centre punch hole.

A 5,000 mAh battery powers the entire system, requiring a maximum of 15W, which is an interesting reduction from the Moto G60 from the previous year. But specs don't tell the whole story, so we need to conduct our standard battery of tests to determine the actual power autonomy and charging durations.

Given that the Moto G62 is one of the most affordable 5G smartphones available, many people are certainly debating whether it is worthwhile to purchase. Keep checking in, and we'll let you know.
