In the near future, Poco plans to introduce a new M-series smartphone in India. The business did not reveal the name of the device when it teased it on social media on Wednesday. The Poco M5 is rumoured to be the forthcoming device. Another model, the Poco M5s, is said to have obtained TUV Rheinland certification recently, effectively confirming its release. The alleged Poco M5 has also been seen on the website of Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). The MediaTek Helio G99 SoC may be used to power the Poco M5.

The screenshots of the purported listing of Poco M5s on the TUV Rheinland certification website were tweeted by tipper Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings). The phone's model number was discovered to be 2207117BPG. The certification for the phone, according to the source, was given out on July 15. However, the screenshots offer no indication of the device's characteristics.

Poco has publicly teased a smartphone via Twitter in India without disclosing its name. The Poco M5 is rumoured to be the forthcoming device. The company's teaser poster, which uses the phrase "G99," makes it appear as though the phone's processor might be a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. The rumoured Poco M5 is supposed to cost less than Rs. 15,000 in India and possibly include 4G connectivity.

Android 12 is anticipated to be pre-installed on the Poco M5. According to reports, it has a 6.58-inch LCD screen with full-HD+ quality. It might receive a 5,000mAh battery with compatibility for at least 33W fast charging. With the model number 22071219CG, the smartphone has also travelled to the NBTC certification facility in Thailand. Early September is when the device is reportedly going on sale in India.

Poco has not yet made any public announcements on the debut of the Poco M5 and Poco M5s. Therefore, it would be wise to take these data with a grain of salt.
