The OnePlus 10T can sustain regular use and passes or exceeds all of OnePlus' rigorous durability testing protocols, the company claims. A few days after YouTube channel JerryRigEverything posted a video discussing the phone's endurance, the manufacturer released a comment. In accordance with the OnePlus 10 Pro, the OnePlus 10T also cracked in half when pressure was applied to it, as seen in the video. The OnePlus 10T handled the scratch test well and continued to function normally after having its display toasted by a lighter.
The pressure test, which involves suspending the device while weight is applied to the centre of both its front and back, shows that the OnePlus 10T satisfies or exceeds all of OnePlus' stringent durability testing protocols. According to OnePlus, which released a statement to Gadgets 360, the OnePlus 10T boasts an improved structure engineering design and can withstand over 45kg of external force in this test in the company's lab.
Zack Nelson, a YouTuber, put the OnePlus 10T through extensive durability tests on his JerryRigEverything channel. The video demonstrated that the recently released smartphone withstood the majority of tests in which the device was subjected to fire and scratches. Even with a burned display and damaged glass protection, the phone operated without a hitch.
Similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro, it failed the bend test and essentially broke in half. When the phones were twisted from the centre, they both sustained severe damage and broke just below the camera module. Nelson said in the video that the OnePlus 10T has a greater battery life than the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The OnePlus statement continued, "When designing, engineering, and producing OnePlus devices, we ensure they not only offer a design that is beautiful and burden-free but are also sturdy so they can sustain daily usage.
The bend test is one method of subjecting the phone to extreme circumstances, which may or may not occur with customers in real-life scenarios, it should be mentioned. It is safe to assume that the phone will sustain catastrophic damage if it is exposed to extremely harsh conditions.
