The upgrades for iOS 15.6.1, iPadOS 15.6.1, and macOS Monterey 12.5.1 have been made available by Apple. Three security patches patch a WebKit and a Kernel issue. Apple resolves a problem that permitted an application to run arbitrary code with kernel privileges with the release of macOS Monterey 12.5.1. According to Apple, this problem might have been aggressively exploited. With the iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1 updates, the same problem was resolved for iPhone 6s and subsequent models, iPad Pro models, iPad Air 2 and later models, and more.

In order to address two known vulnerabilities, the US tech giant Apple has begun distributing the iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1 patches. With the release of the latest OS update version 12.5.1, the identical pair of problems were resolved for macOS Monterey.

For iPhone 6s and later devices, all iPad Pro models, iPad Air 2 and later models, iPad 5th Generation and later models, iPad Mini 4 and later models, as well as iPod Touch, the iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1 updates are currently accessible (7th Generation).

The three versions, iOS 15.6.1, iPadOS 15.6.1, and macOS Monterey 12.5.1, all address two security flaws: one in the Kernel and one in WebKit. An application could run arbitrary code with kernel privileges as a result of the kernel bug CVE-2022-32894. The business claimed that this problem might have been deliberately exploited. On iOS, iPadOS, and macOS Monterey, processing "maliciously designed web content" might have resulted in the execution of arbitrary code due to the WebKit flaw CVE-2022-32893. The business claims that the aforementioned updates have now resolved both problems.

iOS 16 beta 5 was just just released by Apple. According to the new beta, the battery icon in the status bar will now also display the battery %. A new "Copy and Delete" tool for sharing screenshots is apparently included in the latest release. Users are reportedly able to use the capability to copy screenshots to their clipboard rather than storing them directly to Photos.
