Google has formally unveiled the Android 13 operating system update. For Pixel smartphones, it is currently available in its stable version. In the upcoming weeks, the Android 13 OS upgrade will also begin going out to several other smartphone OEMs. For the global versions of the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi has now released the Android 13 beta.
The initial 200 owners of the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro are receiving the Android 13 beta, which is based on MIUI 13. Users must subscribe to a specific Telegram channel in order to receive information about the OTA update. The Xiaomi Mi Community is not available in India, as is common knowledge.
Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro need to be running the update in order to be used.
As usual, it is advised to backup the data on the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro before installing the Android 13 beta. Users of the Xiaomi 12 can get the MIUI 13.0.4.0 TLCMIXM version, while those of the Xiaomi Pro can get the MIUI 13.0.4.0 TLBMIXM version. The download weighs 4.23 GB and contains the August security update as well.
People who want to test the Android 13 beta on their Xiaomi 12/12 Pro devices should be aware that as it is not a stable release, they may run into bugs. If the device still won't start after applying the update, users are encouraged to visit a Xiaomi service centre that has been approved. Once the business resolves all the problemsfrom the beta version, it will roll out the stable. But the company hasn’t confirmed a specific timeframe for it.
