The Redmi K50i, which was introduced on July 20 and released in the Indian market, is a recent addition to the Redmi K50 series. There, it faces numerous competitors, with the Realme GT Neo 3 undoubtedly ranking as one of the most significant. The Realme has incredible specs, while the Redmi gives an exceptional value for the money. For instance, it is the first phone in the world to support 150W fast charging, and the OnePlus 10T will join it in a few days. The Redmi K50i and Realme GT Neo3's specifications are compared in this table. A model of this phone with 80W fast charging and a larger 5000 mAh battery is also available. Take note that the Realme is available in two variations with different batteries and charging rates.

Design
The Realme GT Neo 3 has the most appealing design. Due to vertical stripes on its back, this phone's design, like the majority of the others in the GT series, is reminiscent of a sports car. For those who want a more sober appearance, it is also available in a colour choice without those stripes. I particularly adore the Realme GT Neo3 camera module because of where the sensors are placed. Additionally, it is both lighter and thinner than the Redmi K50i, at just 8.2 mm thick and 188 grammes in weight. Last but not least, it features a larger screen to body ratio because the area below the display has a smaller chin. The front camera is located in the centre of both phones, but the physical keys are located in different places. The power key on the Redmi K50i also serves as a fingerprint reader, whilst the scanner on the Realme phone is located beneath the display.
Display
Regarding the display, there is no contest: the Realme GT Neo3 easily prevails in this comparison. To make it clear which one is the greatest, we simply need to mention that it is the only one with an AMOLED display, albeit this is not the only superior feature. With a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10+ certification, the Realme flagship can display up to one billion colours. It also boasts an on-display fingerprint sensor, as was already discussed in the previous section of this comparison. Unfortunately, the Redmi K50i's display is an LCD, so don't anticipate it to have the same brilliant colours and deep blacks as OLED panels. With a screen of 6.6 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, HDR10 certification, and Dolby Vision support, it is still a decent display. The display fingerprint reader is located on the side. While both smartphones have dual speakers, only the Redmi K50i has a 3.5 mm audio socket for wired earbuds.
Features & Software
The same mobile platform powers both the Realme GT Neo 3 and the Redmi K50i: the Dimensity 8100 from MediaTek, manufactured using a 5 nm manufacturing technique. Although it is among MediaTek's top models, the Dimensity 9000 and Dimensity 9000+ offer more performance than this one. Four Cortex A78 CPUs with a maximum frequency of 2.85 GHz, four Cortex A55 CPUs with a frequency of 2 GHz, and a Mali G610 MC6 GPU make up the octa-core architecture of this SoC.
However, the Realme GT Neo 3 triumphs in the hardware comparison because it has a better memory setup, with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage, compared to the Redmi K50i's 8 GB of RAM. The user interface of both phones has been heavily altered and runs on Android 12.
Camera
The Realme GT Neo 3 is the best choice if you're seeking for a phone with a real camera. It has a superior main camera: a 50 MP Sony IMX766 flagship-class sensor with OIS capability (while the Redmi has a midrange-class 64 MP main cameras). Both of these phones' auxiliary sensors—an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro camera—are the same. Even the front camera, a 16 MP selfie camera, remains the same. Therefore, the primary back camera is the only component that differs.only has the primary back camera.
Battery The Redmi K50i's battery, which has a capacity of 5080 mAh, is larger than the Realme GT Neo 3's. However, because the GT Neo3 features a more effective AMOLED display, the 5000 mAh version of the phone delivers a greater battery life in a number of situations. Additionally, it charges more quickly thanks to 80W fast charging (instead of just 67W). The GT 150W version has a smaller 4500 mAh battery but charges even more quickly owing to 150W fast charging.
Price
The Redmi K50i costs Rs. 25,999 ($330) in India, while the Realme GT Neo3 starts at Rs. 36,999 ($470). The Redmi offers a better value for the money, but the Realme wins the comparison. Which would you choose?
