The United States' sanctions against Huawei prevent it from producing 5G smartphones. As a result, the company develops a few original concepts to enable the launch of smartphones with 5G capability.
The most recent advancement is the debut of the TD Tech M40 5G High-End Version in China. As the name suggests, the phone is an improved version of the earlier this year released ordinary variant of the Huawei Mate 40 smartphone.
Starting on August 11th, it will be offered for sale for 3,599 yuan. Prices range from 3,599 yuan ($533) for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage to 3,999 yuan ($592) for the model with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
The 6.5-inch OLED curved screen on the TD Tech M40 5G High-End Version has a refresh rate of 90Hz, which is an improvement over the ordinary version that was released a few months ago. Additionally, it has an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance, protecting your phone from a light raindrop.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus SoC, which is a significant improvement over the antiquated Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 9000, which the Chinese manufacturer is essentially forced to use on its handsets due to US sanctions, powers the phone's internals.
A 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with a 3x optical zoom make up the triple camera arrangement on the back panel of the device. A 13-megapixel wide-angle camera for selfies and video calls is located on the front.
The phone's operating system is HarmonyOS, which is based on the Android platform. It has a 4,200mAh battery and supports 40W wireless charging in addition to 40W fast charging over a USB Type-C port.
