According to Adobe, the global creative economy is exploding due to consumers' unquenchable desire for content.

The number of creators in the global creator economy has increased to 303 million in the previous two years, according to a new report from the provider of VFX and video editing tools.

The report also reveals that, even though influencers only account for 15% of all content providers, they generate a sizable profit. According to a survey by Adobe, "More than half (51%) of influencers are in the top income group, or the US equivalent of making over $100,000+ per year."

Why produce material?

The company behind Photoshop and After Effects polled 9,000 content producers in the US, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and Brazil to better understand how creativity is evolving globally.

For the 58% of creators who still hold down full-time jobs, content creation is still a side business. According to the poll, there are other factors at play in the explosion of online content besides money.

Visual arts dominate in the contemporary internet environment, with 54% of respondents participating in photography, 30% in creative writing, and 27% in painting and drawing. So it should come as no surprise that content producers cited a desire to express themselves, have fun, and pursue passions as their primary driving forces.

A primary essential for mental wellness, according to 47% of respondents, is using or creating social media material. It is also praised when social concerns are advanced through content development.

However, in the long run, about 40% of those polled want to start their own businesses and make money from their internet material; this takes time. According to Adobe, content creators spend 9 hours per week on their output whereas influencers spend an average of 15 hours per week creating and promoting content.

Clearly, the effort pays off. Influencers make an average of $81 per hour, whereas worldwide creators make about $61 per hour. In comparison to Germany ($126.61p/h) and the US ($125.43p/h), UK influencers make the greatest money ($146.86 p/h). That compensation is comparable to that of lawyers and software developers.

According to Simon Morris, vice president of marketing for Adobe's EMEA and APAC regions, "the number of creators in the UK and throughout the world is growing exponentially, demonstrating the creative empowerment people now feel to follow their aspirations and express themselves online."

The pace of increase has undoubtedly been influenced by the events of the previous two years, indicating that the democratisation of creativity is altering how, when, where, and why we create and find inspiration. Our culture and economy may be shaped by creators, who can also carve out rich and fulfilling occupations.

Presently, 23% of people worldwide identify as content creators. The US and UK have 26% and 24%, respectively.

We're witnessing a huge change analogous to the collapse of the Hollywood studio system as internet content development becomes more democratic. Previously, a famous minority's content was seen by large crowds. Many people today have just as much invested in creating material as they do in consuming it. Additionally, they want to customise it.

Utilize the greatest social media marketing techniques to gain more followers.
