The A57s and A57e are two new smartphones from Oppo that are similar to the A57 range but have a few minor variations.
A57s by Oppo
First, let's discuss the Oppo A57s. It runs Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 and is available in a single 4GB/64GB memory version. It is powered by the Helio G35 SoC. However, using the smartphone's internal storage and the RAM expansion capability, you can essentially add 4GB more RAM. The device also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 1TB.
The 6.56" HD+ resolution LCD at the centre of the Oppo A57s. It boasts Panda Glass protection and a notch for an 8MP selfie camera. The rectangular island on the main camera, which has a 50MP sensor, is located on the rear with a 2MP monochrome unit and an LED flash.
The Oppo A57s includes an NFC chip built-in, is IP54-rated, and sports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking without a password. Additionally, it has Dirac 3.0 audio, ultra-linear stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone connector.
A 5,000 mAh battery powers the entire device and is charged at up to 33W over a USB-C connector. If anything about this sounds familiar, it's because the Oppo A57s is an Indian-only variant of the Oppo A57 4G. The latter includes numerous memory options and a 13MP main camera, but lacks NFC and stereo speakers.
The Oppo A57e is sold for INR13,999 ($175/€175) on Flipkart in India and is available in Green and Black colours. It's unclear why Oppo introduced the A57e in India considering the A57 4G is also available there for the same price (and even less on Amazon.in), and has the same RAM and storage capacity.
