After a protracted delay, WhatsApp has now made a new update accessible to all users of iOS 12 and later versions on the App Store. In the official changelog for the 22.17.77 stable version, WhatsApp highlights the option to transfer your chat history from Android to iOS for the first time:
The official changelog, which you can see in this screenshot, claims that the update includes some news for everyone. In addition to the changes regarding the maximum file size limit of up to 2GB and the ability to create groups with up to 512 participants, it also states that you can now transfer your chat history from Android to iOS.
WhatsApp first revealed this functionality in a tweet last month, but the changelog now makes the announcement more formal than it was previously.
