Earlier today, Motorola had a significant event in China where it unveiled three new phones. The brand's newest foldable, the Razr 2022, has unsurprisingly received the majority of attention, while the X30 Pro and S30 Pro offer more traditional designs with superior specifications.

X30 Pro by Motorola

The Motorola X30 Pro is the first smartphone with a 200MP camera to hit the market. The sensor is a 1/1.22-inch Samsung ISOCELL HP1 with an f/1.95 aperture, OIS, and 16-in-1 pixel binning. The 200MP camera's pixels can be binned 16-to-1 to 2.56 mm in size at its 12.5MP resolution by default. Additionally, it can produce 200MP native stills with 0.64-m pixels or 50MP stills with 1.28-m individual pixels. The main camera can record up to 8K video at 30 frames per second.

The third slot is set aside for the 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto sensor, which provides a 2x optical zoom, while the second camera sensor on the back is a 50MP ultrawide module. The screen's punch hole is home to a 60MP selfie camera with an OV60a sensor from Omnivision.

The Motorola X30 Pro features a curved 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel boasts an embedded fingerprint scanner, a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits, and HDR10+ certification.

Like many current Android flagships, the Moto X30 Pro has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU from Qualcomm, as well as 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256 or 512GB of storage. Android 12 and MyUI 4.0 are both used for the software.

The 4,610 mAh battery of the X30 Pro supports 50W wireless fast charging through an optional Motorola wireless charger as well as 125W wired fast charging (0-100% in 19 minutes).

The 8/128GB trim of the Motorola X30 Pro costs CNY 3,699 ($548), and the 12/512GB model costs CNY 4,499 ($668). It is available in black and white. China has begun open sales today.

T-Mobile S30 Pro

The Motorola S30 Pro has a curved 6.55" OLED display, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a Snapdragon 888+ processor. A 50MP Omnivision OV50A main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide module, and a 2MP depth sensor are all included in the gadget. On the front, a punch hold cutout houses a 32MP selfie camera.

S30 Pro has a 4,400 mAh battery and supports 68W rapid charging. It runs Android 12 with MyUI 4.0 on top. The phone is offered in blue and black, with the latter having a faux leather texture.

The entry-level 8/128GB model costs CNY 1,999 ($326), and the top-of-the-line 12/512GB trim costs CNY 2,899 ($430). China has begun open sales today.
