You may already be aware that Samsung just announced the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro in other countries. To avoid feeling outdone, Oppo also unveiled two of its own brand-new wearables in China.

The Oppo Watch 3 and Oppo Watch 3 Pro, which were released in July, are the first smartwatches to employ Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 wearable platform, as promised.

The Oppo Watch 3 has a 1.75" 372x430 AMOLED screen with 3D glass on top, a 400 mAh battery that charges in 60 minutes, 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, Bluetooth 5.0, eSIM, NFC, 5ATM water resistance, GPS/Beidou/GLONASS/Galileo/QZSS, and Oppo's Apollo 4 Plus coprocessor, which is used in place of the Snapdragon when low

With full usage, the battery may last four days thanks to all of these specifications (or three days if you go for the LTE model and use LTE). Alternately, you can enjoy ten days in a light mode. The Watch 3 will be available in Feather Gold and Platinum Black. Its weight without a strap is 31.9g.

In a first for a wearable, the Oppo Watch 3 Pro has a larger 1.91" 378x496 LTPO AMOLED screen. With a battery capacity of 550 mAh, it offers a larger battery life of 15 days in light mode and five days of continuous use (four with LTE). It takes 65 minutes to charge. Desert Brown and Platinum Black will be the Watch 3 Pro's debut colours. Its weight without a strap is 37.5g.

100 training modes, 150 watch faces, an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, optical heart rate monitor, blood oxygen sensor, ECG sensor, ambient light sensor, and air pressure sensor are all included in the remaining specifications.

At the current conversion rates, the Oppo Watch 3 starts at CNY 1,499 ($222 or €216), while the Watch 3 Pro starts at CNY 1,899 ($282, €274). They will go on sale in China on August 19 and are now available for pre-order. Who knows whether they will ever have an international launch at this time. Keep in mind that they use a proprietary software platform in China, and it's not known if they would transition to Wear OS if they ever launch overseas.
