Zoop, a food delivery service run by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), has teamed up with Reliance-owned Haptik to offer online meal delivery on trains using WhatsApp. With the most recent partnership, travellers can now buy meals using a chatbot on an instant messaging app without downloading any other apps and have it delivered to their seats. When placing an order, passengers must input their PNR number, and the service provides real-time tracking.

According to a video posted on YouTube by Haptik, IRCTC's Zoop and Haptik are collaborating to create a WhatsApp-based food delivery service on trains. The platforms now enable users to order food from affiliated restaurants while riding a train using WhatsApp.

Passengers can connect to the WhatsApp chatbot Ziva at +91 7042062070, where they will need to input their PNR number in order to order food. The chatbot will confirm the trip information and provide users the option to choose the station where they want the food delivered. Both online and cash payment methods are available.

Passengers can follow their orders in real-time and provide feedback via the chatbot. Food will be brought to each passenger's seat once they arrive at the chosen station.

More than 100 A1, A, and B Category railway stations, including Vijayawada, Vadodra, Warangal, Upadhyaya, Kanpur, Tundla Junction, and Balharshah Junction, are currently offering the new service, according to a report by PTI.
