We currently have the 2022 model of Huawei's most expensive laptop line, the MateBook X Pro, in our workplace.
It's amazing to see the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 in person. The Huawei MateBook X Pro line of ultra-thin and light laptops has been one of the most attractive devices ever since it was first unveiled in 2017. Back in 2017, we were referring to the MacBook Air 2022 bezels. But this year, Huawei made some much-needed design modifications, which we'll discuss after we finish the unboxing.
The MateBook X Pro 2022 ships with a new 90W charger, a USB-C to USB-C connection, and the same-looking white retail box (the 2021 model had a 65W charger).
The redesigned touchpad, which Huawei refers to as Free Touch, is another significant change. It now overflows the bottom of the palm rest region, giving the touchpad a beautiful infinity pool appearance and adding a few millimetres to its surface.
The MateBook X Pro 2022 is offered in a new palette of hues this year. For the first time, you also receive an Ink Blue, a White, and the purple Space Grey that we are reviewing. However, you forfeit the gorgeous Emerald Green.
The battery capacity of the 2022 model has increased from 56Wh to 60Wh, and there are 2 additional speakers and 2 additional microphones than there were on the 2021 model, making a total of a 6-speaker sound system with a 4 microphone array.
4 cores and 8 threads. The GPU is the same Intel Iris Xe G7, which can handle light gaming and photo editing. There's no discrete GPU option on the MateBook X Pro 2022.
