You can use saved credit or debit cards or an Apple Cash account balance to make purchases in stores, online, and within compatible apps when you have Apple Pay enabled on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.

Like PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo, Apple Cash can also be used as a mobile payment app. In other words, you can send money to friends and family using your Apple Cash balance. On the other hand, you can ask others for money, and the money will be added to your balance. The remaining balance may then be fully or partially transferred to a bank account or used for subsequent purchases.

Before, sending or receiving messages required using the Messages app on an Apple device. request money. But with iOS/iPadOS 15.5 or higher, you can do it directly in the Apple Wallet app, and the transaction then occurs within the Messages app. Here’s how to set up and use the service.

How to Set Up Apple Cash

You must reside in the US, have an Apple device that supports Apple Cash, and turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) for your Apple account in order to utilise Apple Cash to the fullest extent possible.

To transfer or receive money using the Wallet app, your iPhone or iPad must be running the most recent OS version. Make sure you are on iOS 15.5 or greater by going to Settings > General > Software Update. If not, give your device permission to install the most recent update.

The Apple Pay app allows you to add numerous cards, but you must designate one as the default so that it will be used for all transactions. In the Transaction Defaults section of Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay, select Default Card to accomplish this. Select the card you want to be the default after that.
